August 8, 1940
The first "super-hero" is created by
Professor Alvin Tolson, who uses a combination of steroids and radiation
therapy with weight and combat training to create The Patriot
(the original, there have been three other heroes to carry that
name since).
July 17, 1980:
First public appearance of the super-hero The Protector.
August 12, 1984
First public appearance of the super-hero group the Chessmen.
October 17, 1989
First public appearance of the super-hero Labrynthe.
April 16, 1999
Leader of the pack in the race for President of the
United States, George W. Bush, is assassinated by (as told by rumors)
what appeared to be a large half-snake/half-man who then commits suicide.
Summer, 1999
Preserver Party candidate, Douglas Carson, acquires the
lead from Al Gore, for the 1st time.
Fall, 1999
Monster and UFO sightings rise by approximately 30%.
March 3, 2000
Dark Day - For 24 hours
starting at 6:02AM, the entire world is covered in darkness.
Looting is rampant, hundreds if not thousands of rapes are reported,
unknown thousands of murders occur.
Summer, 2000
Monster sightings rise, and 20 people are attacked
in plain daylight. The national guard is called in several to
settle rising tempers and protect government buildings.
November 11, 2000
Al Gore is viewed as being unable to affect these
attacks; Carson is easily elected with a margin of 30%.
January 23, 2001
The Witt Firearms Action is passed by Congress,
restricting gun sales, a limited number of permits (10,000) is
issued each year.
April 10, 2001
President Carson signs the Vigilantism Proclamation,
which says "...any persons practicing vigilantism must submit themselves
for the purpose of deputization or incarceration. Citizens cannot be
denied their full civil rights under the law." Several younger
super-heroes turn themselves in, deputized and released.
May 16, 2001
The Protector is declared a criminal and a bench warrent is issued.
June 19, 2001
The Carson National Preservation Action: The institution of the
National ID Card - having one is considered the equivalent to citizenship,
it replaces the driver's liscense. The computer strip on the reverse side
contains the person's National DataBase number (common slang refers to
this as the Number of the Beast).
August 20, 2001
First appearance of the Champions of Order.
June 7, 2002
US Government vs. Randelman-Waite: The Supreme Court gives
the governmentthe right to order drug testing on a population in order
determine the presence of criminal activity.
September 24, 2002
President Carson signs the Drug Eradication Initiative.
January 29, 2003
War breaks out between Colombia and Panama.
May 19, 2003
Visa Corporation makes a deal with the U.S. government
to produce a new combination debit/credit & National ID card; by
November, 2005 this card will replace most cash transactions.
